Myofunctional Therapy is a muscle movement based treatment program that is used to restore and balance orofacial muscles and function. It is an integrative approach to develop the jaws and the airways, and to support that growth. By correcting atypical habits and dysfunction associated with eating, breathing, chewing, swallowing, speaking and tongue placement, we can restore muscle harmony and promote growth, as nature intended. Often, restorative sleep and effective breathing are returned, and systemic health is achieved via the most vital functions of the human body.

As a former dental hygienist of 25 years, I've had the privilege of serving and educating people of all ages and backgrounds, to create healthier mouths. It was through that love for oral health that I witnessed its direct relationship to overall systemic health. Physical, mental, and emotional well-being begin with proper eating, breathing, and sleep. With post-graduate training from The Dawson Academy, The Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, and a recent certification of Certified Orofacial Myologist, from The International Association of Orofacial Myology, I began a new career as an Orofacial Myologist. A high level of wellness can be achieved by treating the organic root cause of illness, and restoring oral-systemic health.
